True Skies Expands to Android and Unveils Major iOS 2.0 Update Featuring Skye AI Flight Assistant

True Skies, the intelligent flight companion designed to keep travelers informed, prepared and calm throughout their journey, today announced a major expansion of its platform with the launch of True Skies for Android and the upcoming release of True Skies 2.0 for iOS.

With True Skies now available on Google Play alongside its existing iOS application, the company can serve travelers across the world’s two major mobile ecosystems. The expansion also enables friends, families and colleagues to share and follow flights across platforms, regardless of the device they use.

At the same time, True Skies has submitted its largest iOS update to date, True Skies 2.0, to Apple for review. The release is expected to become available following Apple’s approval.

Meet Skye: An AI Flight Assistant Built Around the Journey

At the center of True Skies 2.0 is Skye, the company’s AI-powered flight assistant.

Available as part of True Skies First Class, Skye is designed to help passengers understand what is happening during their journey — and determine what to do next — using natural-language conversation.

Skye is initially available on iOS, with an Android version coming soon.

Travelers can ask Skye about flight status, gates, delays, inbound aircraft, airport conditions and weather; obtain information about baggage allowances, pet policies and destination entry requirements; add and track flights; and quickly access airline contact options.

When disruptions occur, passengers can open an alert and ask Skye what to do next, bringing relevant information and potential actions together within the same experience.

Integration with Siri on iOS extends that capability beyond the app, allowing travelers to interact with True Skies using voice and making key travel information easier to access throughout the journey.

From Flight Tracker to Proactive Travel Companion

True Skies is designed around a simple concept: travelers should not have to continually search for information about their journey.

The platform continuously monitors flights and proactively delivers information including gate changes, delays, cancellations, aircraft changes and baggage carousel assignments. Smart “leave for the airport” functionality can also help travelers determine when to depart based on flight timing and other relevant journey information.

True Skies combines this proactive intelligence with live flight tracking, connection information, airport and weather information, baggage guidance, and key flight details that stay available even without a signal.

Flights can be added by searching, from a shared link or by scanning a QR code. First Class adds boarding-pass scanning and calendar import.

Travel Becomes Social — Across iPhone and Android

The expansion to Android also strengthens one of True Skies’ most important capabilities: shared travel.

Users can follow friends’ and family members’ trips and see those flights alongside their own. Flights can be shared through links and QR codes, helping travelers and the people waiting for them stay connected throughout a journey.

With True Skies available across both major mobile platforms, that experience no longer depends on everyone using the same type of phone.

Designed for the Entire Journey

True Skies extends beyond traditional flight tracking with features intended to support travelers before, during and after a flight.

Its Nervous Flyer Mode, part of True Skies First Class, provides breathing exercises, explanations of common aircraft sounds and turbulence, and calming activities designed to make flying less stressful.

A redesigned Passport and Flight Log turns completed journeys into a visual travel history, including flights, miles, airports and countries visited. First Class adds capabilities including visa information and exchange rates.

First Class members can also maintain and share pet travel profiles with airlines or veterinarians, helping keep important pet travel information accessible when it is needed.

True Skies has been built with native mobile technologies for each platform — SwiftUI on iOS and Jetpack Compose on Android — allowing the company to take advantage of platform-specific capabilities while maintaining a consistent True Skies experience.
